CASE Grant Winner at Atlanta Technical College

Retrofit and recycle overseas steel shipping containers into a resource providing safe, secure, and affordable single occupancy housing units for the homeless. A steel shipping container will serve as a prototype, built by engaging students at the Atlanta Technical College from cross disciplines like plumbing, electricity, heating, ventilation, etc. under faculty supervision. After completion, the unit would be placed in a neighborhood near the college addressing a community need. Placing it here would stimulate interest in building more of these units and the sustainability of this project.
